Out of the Ordinary

First of all, i wanna apologize for the inconvenience to read this post.. I purposely do it so cz.. well, like the title suggest out of the ordinary.. and spice up a little to blog reading.. Congratulation to you.. The fact you manage reading this this post shows you are not computer illiterate..

Anyway, it sure is a long time since my last post.. Well, this post is just to clear my mind off something anyway.. Nothing of particular importance..

Alright, this is how the story goes.. Something happens today that i can't help but ponder is there anything that is called coincidence? No coincidence doesnt seems right, perhaps fate is a better choice of word.. When every path you choose in a day actually contribute to a event you never foresee on that day or in the future..

This is my story:

I follow my usual routine for wednesday, which comprises of me waking up, going to structure programming lab and Energy Balance's tutorial. Nothing out of the ordinary till this point.. Then, it's time to get my lunch..

If i had gone to my usual routine, i would had miss what i called an unforeseen encounter.. While im walking to get my lunch from passing through pocket D, im told that there is a free lunch at the undercroft.. Usually, i would have turn down such offer but, a part of me says "Dude, free meal!! Why not??"

Upon reaching the undercroft, came doubt within me.. Together with me is Ben Li and Win Sin. Since its an event by SPE, we feel we are out of place there. At some point, all three of us plan to go back and eat back at V2. Just when im about to turn back, DG came for the lunch to.. And so, we stayed for the lunch.. And soon, Ben Li and Win Sin backed out and leave me there.. Another option for me to choose.. Leave with them or stay there.. I choose to stay.. Lucky my bro, DG is with me so, i wouldnt be by myself..

Then, let me fast forward the event for you, readers. Before the lunch starts, there is a talk.. Haha.. So much for a free meal.. Bt, to get to listen to a talk to get free food, i believe its what i called "equivalent exchange".. Hahaha.. After the lunch, Han Shen joined me and DG.. I planned to go back to my room after the lunch..

And here comes choice in my path.. Han Shen plan to go print his lecture notes.. Usually at this circumstances, I would split with them and went back my room.. However, today, i dunno why i decided to join him printing the notes.. It's some fun times talking some nonsense with this 2 bro of mine and learned bout Battle Station.. LOL!!

After finish printing the notes, we all plan to go back to our room.. I would have usually taken a different path from my bros would have taken, a shortcut to my room.. But, today, that path is blocked by 3 guards.. I decided to take a detour because i did not have my matric card on me.. Had i walk there, i would gt a RM30 summon and also i would not have written this piece of post.. And it was when im walking with them that i had a "rare encounter". Hehe..

Believe it or not, i had only met her once here in my uni and that is just by chance.. This encounter is the 2nd one.. Before the first meeting, I never seen her anywhere in uni before.. Haha, jz show that i don't go hunting for girls.. XD

C'mon it's been almost 2 month into this new semester where i had never seen her before.. And all of this just have to happen a few days after the event im involved?? Coincidence? Perhaps..

Let summarize my today's "path":

1) I choose to go for free lunch than the usual V2 lunch.
2) I choose to stay for the lunch when Ben Li and Win Sin leave.
3) I choose to hang out with Han Shen and DG rather than going back my room. (under normal circumstances, i would have go back my room)
4) Three guards block my usual way back to my room forcing me to take a detour.

Had i choose not to do one of them, I would not have written this piece of post..

Being an outsider, this post probably doesn't make much sense. But that is the whole point.. It's to retain the anonymity. Now, is there anything called fate?? I for one doesn't believe this fate crap and believe its the person effort that makes to where they are.. However, after this, it gives me a new prespective that there are things that maybe fate had a better chance at success rather than effort..

This incident is jz an example of my question.. Does everything happens for a reason?

To Use or Not to Use..

A recent gathering with my friends bring back the old debate.. "Wai Chun, why don't you use an English name".. Well, let's say I'm picky.. I want a name that is uncommon and yet suits my birth name.. "Why don't use Zephryc"? some says. "It's uncommon enough and it sounds cool" another one said.. Well, for all the people out there. Zephryc is a name i just randomly thought of when i play my online games. Online games now require avatars that need you u input a name.. So, hey, Zephryc sounds cool, so i use it as my alias in the "cyber"-world..

But, everyone, "Cyber"world and the real world is different.. Yes, you type "Zephryc" in the google search, and my facebook profile, my blog comes out as the top search. Bt, first of all, is the name easily pronounced? You think u know how to pronounce it? Think again.. Furthermore, if you hear the name Zephryc chanted out loud, do you know how to spell it?

Then again, there are also many names that has several ways to spell them.. Take for example, Eddy, another way to spell it Eddie. Sara, Sarah. C'mon.. Even my chinese name, Wai Chun tat isnt too common meet his brother, Wai Choon.. And thank god, this person that bears the resemblance to my name is a super genius.. Awesome!!

There is another issue of i want a name that bears a little rhyme to my chinese name. And thus, makes the whole naming crap lot harder. You see, i can do a lot wif my chinese name.. But, rhyming with an English one is not one of them... Thus far, i can only come up with Wy- replacing the "Wai" but, Chun? I just dont have a vocabulary wide enough to find an awesome name replacing that.. Wychun?? How do you even pronounce that?? That is insane.. Even when i use the first letter of "Chun" doesnt make the name sounds any better.. Wycee?? I prefer to stick with Zephryc, God Bless Me..

Of Rantings and Boasting

Wow.. It's been so long i last post anything eh.. My blog is practically in the ICU for a few months de.. If my blog is a diary, it probably gt lost somewhere.. Thx technology...

Well, this post won't talk much either.. It's mostly just to keep my blog alive and well, rant a bit.. In a few weeks time, i'll be sitting for my finals. With assignments and tests coming, there is really no time to slack now. What's worse, i look at one of the past year paper, i have no clue what to answer.. OMG!!

Enough rantings.. Don't wanna talk bout it so much.. Just spoil the mood only. Now to boasting.. XD

There is a performance by the UTP demo team for the ChemE High Tea. Well, since it's our first demo on stage, no doubt there is a few mistakes here and there.. But overall, i think we did great.. Probably it's the choice of song and dance that makes the crowd go crazy.. Feel a bit embarrassed that time.. Oww man, need to get the video and upload it soon..

P.S. There's probably another demo before the semester ends..

Oh ya, and a thousand congratulations to my cousin, Jan Er and her newly wed hubby, Kwong Boon. A lovely picture of them..

I'm 19 now..

This year birthday is pretty memorable.. All thanks to the friends back here in rawang that make it happen..

It all started with a phone call from my one of my fren.. She asked me where am i? This is the 1st hint. Ok, so i played along.. Not long after, another fren of mine call again to confirm where am i since i usually travel to and fro from my grandma house to my house.. Then, another fren of mine call me to go out "yum cha" or to put it in english, drink tea, a term we use to go hang out it some stall to bull crap..

The surprise starts here, they actually, planned it near my housing area. that really surprise me.. they even had a cake. a blueberry cheese cake from secret recipe.. these frens sure know how to spend.. haha.. but anyway, i really am touched.. thanks guys and gals..

Then, we go to Rawang's best hangout place, McDonalds.. we sat down, talk some bulls**t till a little over 12.30am.. i know it's still early, bt, the next day, some of us are going to Sunway Pyramid. Anyway, the messed up part of this is we hang around McD for about 1 and a half hours without ordering anything from the counter.. yes, u hear me rite, we bought nothing from McD that nite. Jz crash their place and eat the cake they bought for us.. Lucky they didnt chase us out..

The next morning like i said earlier we went to sunway pyramid for some ice-skating.. Hmm, the last time i ice-skate is probably when im 7 or 8 years old, anyway, it's still more than a decade that i skate..

The part here is a bit disrespectful to the ladies here.. haha.. anyway, for some good laugh, i did manage to spot some pretty girls too (even if there is leng lui skating wif u, doesnt mean u cant look at other.. :p).. then, there is an instructor who is pretty, slim, proportionally-shaped who practically had made ice-skating her 2nd nature (the 1st is living, duh!) wow.. to be expected from a pro... sorry everyone, didnt manage to take a video..

After some skating, we had our lunch at BBQ plaza.. After eating, we went for some window-shopping. I of course, went to look for my futsal shoe to replace the one i lost, T.T

I went to al-Ikhsan, found it only to realize they ran outta stock on my feet size.. he says, wat bout a different size? omg.. how about we negotiate my foot size? f*** off... if tat fella said "wat about a different model", i woundnt be so pissed off.. c'mon salesman out there, when u gt an interested buyer, pursuade him another model if there is no size or watever reason.. try and get their money.. i get outta the shop straight away.. i buy from shop which serves me well.. then, i went to the adidas sports shop. found it too, bt, slightly overprice.. well, i still gt time till next month.. wat's the rush.. get outta shop then.. studio-r, well, they have it for football but not futsal. haiz.. out then.. in the end, i didnt bought anything that day..

Before going back, they gimme me a present. A pen engraving my name on it.. A well thought-out present.. Thanks everyone..

In the night, i had dinner with my family to celebrate my birthday. It's a day late (saturday) cz we wanna celebrate with everyone..

Once again, a millian thanks to my family and friends whom make my 19th birthday memorable..

It's rite after STE.. barely had time to rest.. bt, surprisingly not tired.. maybe the thoughts of having fun excites me..


Hmm.. A typical journey there.. need not talk much bout it.. we reached the apartment around 7sumting pm.. do a little bit of cleaning and relax a while playing cards and rummy.. well, it's only around 10sumting pm tat we feel a bit hungry.. lol... time to look for foods... dragon is growling ba...

since it's not really that early anymore, and we were too lazy to look so far, we ended up eating at a malay food court..

Had our foods.. chat a while and mosquitos attack our legs.. so, we leave lo.. to the beach.. oh yeah... while driving to the beach, jen han suddenly go over the other side of the road.. whoa.. scare the crap outta us.. figuratively speaking... dun worry... no one is hurt during this trip..

walk around the beach, play the sands.. didnt really play the water la.. jz let the waves wash up to our feet oni... and, so it's time to go back to the apartment... bt b4 that, we visit the 7-11 shop.. u guys out there don't go think sumthing else k.... v all are decent fellas... buy some beverages and go back to the apartment. thats all..

it's around 11.30 d.. well, it's no point sleeping so early since this is a vacation.. so, v continue with our rummy and "chor dee".. no money is involved. DECENT ba...this is practically the atmosphere in the apartment that nite..

we chat and chat and chat till late nite, all craps and history is being told.. ah... catch up time... it's till after 3am that some of us only start to feel sleepy that we stopped.. probably im tired due to the STE and then straight for the this trip, i fell asleep almost immediately. next morning comes so early.. at around 10am, we guys (sleeping in a different room) were woken up by 2 noisy girls..

well, v took our time lo.. brushing teeth and stuff.. preparing for day 2.. our breakfast start with eating roti sardin.. walauwei.. RM3.50 sial... UTP mia only RM2.00 ar.. after had our breakfast, we went for a stroll at "dunno where". anyway, there, eddy and me bought a pair of sunglasses.. man, we choose like 15 minutes only to realize there is better choice inside the shop.. and the shop assisstant didnt help as well...

We went back to the apartment then.. played some game of truth or dare.. wakakaka.. eddy choose dare where he need to shout "saya suka tengok perempuan" outside the apartment.. the messed up part is there is an auntie hanging clothes at another block of apartment.. this idea is all thanks to the U students where they shout the exact same thing the night before at the beach..

all good things needs to come to an end.. it's time to say farewell to this trip.. before travelling back, we had seafood for our dinner.

And so, that is our PD trip.. The gap of lost time had been bridged.. Though by end of the day, it's pretty tired, it's totally worth it...
